FAQ
Talking about your personal life to a stranger can be uncomfortable. If you are totally new to counselling, these feelings are quite normal. However as clients begin to share their lives with a professional in a safe and non-judgemental environment most people begin to improve over time. As a first step, have a chat to your counsellor and discuss your concerns about booking a session. You can decide how much and to what degree you wish to disclose and
share.

Unlike the limited number of GP led referrals to see mental health professionals, you drive the number of counselling sessions you need until you reach your desired outcomes and goals. Depending on your objectives you can have anywhere from 5 to 15 sessions. Counselling is largely client driven and I work with my clients to provide a personalised path out of their unique issue which informs the number of sessions.
If you cancel or reschedule within 24 hours of your pre-booked appointment then a full fee will be charged.
Individual counselling sessions are for 50 minutes’ duration and charged at $135 per session. Payment to be made prior via card or Bank Transfer to secure booking of appointment.
At this stage I do not offer a medicare rebate.
Online sessions can be effective whilst being extremely easy to administer for the clients. Many clients actually prefer online sessions due to its convenience and privacy of attending sessions from the comfort of their homes or any remote location. Clients seem to be able to build rapport quickly and report that they are able to express themselves in a far more uninhibited manner in virtual meetings. In saying that, some clients are inherently more drawn to face to face sessions.
